Wanted:  licensed pilot for summer Sunday tours on the Merrimack River.

We seek a Coast Guard licensed captain to pilot our Sunday summer boat tours on the Merrimack River, which begin at the Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program’s boathouse in South Lawrence.  Tours run for nine weeks, one each Sunday, from June 29 through August 24, 2008.  Tours start at 1:00, end at 3:00.  Stipend of $150 per tour.  

The craft you will be piloting is a 28 foot open aluminum launch with seating for 22 adults. Single screw Volvo Penta with center console.  Well maintained.  The Merrimack River is an inland waterway above a forty foot high dam that is used for water power. Little current under average conditions.  Though the river is not buoyed, deep water (20+ feet) prevails along the course.  Help with launching and docking is always available.
